Infectious diseases are sickness and illness caused by harmful germs called pathogens inside your body. Pathogens that cause infectious diseases are bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites. Infectious diseases can spread from one person to another or through bug bites, contaminated water, food and soil.

Infectious diseases are caused by pathogens like bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites which get inside your body from your surrounding and can spread from one person to another whereas non-infectious diseases are caused by  genetic, autoimmune disorder, anatomical differences, age or depending on the outer environment that you live in. you can’t get non-infectious disease by a bug bite, your food or from other people like cannot get hypertension, diabetes or cancer from neighbor or colleague but you can get flu, COVID-19, a fungal infection or HIV.

Types of infectious diseases -

Bacterial infection - Bacteria are small single-cell organism. They are present everywhere including inside our body, on our skin and in our surrounding. Some of them are not harmful but some can make you sick.
